Spectrum of Disorders Diagnosed on 99mTc-MAG3 Radioisotope Renography: A Report of 260 Saudi Arabian Patients

Background: Diuretic renography using 99mTc-mercaptoacetyltriglycine (99mTc-MAG3) is a relatively non-invasive technique and has been increasingly used as reliable for the evaluation of kidney function in wide range disorders. Methods: In this retrospective study, we retrieved medical records patients referred to Radiology Department Radiology, King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital, Taif, Saudi Arabia, with suspected disease underwent 99mTc-MAG3 diuretic during January 2020 November 2021. Results: The 260 were retrieved. Most had either obstructive (n = 80; 30.7 %) or non-obstructive hydronephrosis 60; 23.1 %). left was affected more than half 155; 59.6 terms split functions, right median 50.9 (38.5–75.5); overall, 39 (69.6%) good function. 49.4 (24.5–61.5); 33 (58.9%) Conclusion: Radioisotope useful assessing functions real-life settings. present study’s results indicate that radioisotope helpful visual interpretation failure, uropathy stenosis.
